Beijing Acoinfo Information Technology Co., Ltd. developed the open source real-time operating system SylixOS and integrated development environment RealEvo-IDE also simulation virtual machine RealEvo-Simulator. SylixOS was developed in 2006, after years of continuous development and improvement, SylixOS has become a full-featured system operating system platform that is fully functional, stable, and easy to develop.

Available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions, SylixOS supports multiple operating modes such as AMP and SMP, and supports processors with multiple instruction sets such as SPARC, MIPS, x86, PowerPC, DSP, C-SKY, ARM, and RISC-V. SylixOS has a rich ecosystem and already supports large-scale middleware such as Qt, CODESYS, Python, and Java Script, and supports various API sets such as POSIX.

The standard version of SylixOS is suitable for most application scenarios, high real-time, high reliability, flexible enough and powerful, and supports secure container technology to provide a higher level of security support. The SylixOS Lite version is suitable for small processors without MMU and is the best choice for IoT and micro-nano satellites. The SylixOS functional safety certified version is suitable for rail transit, industrial automation, automotive, nuclear power. The Matrix 653 system serves products that require time-sharing partitions, such as aircraft. All of the above versions, the API is fully compatible, using the same development environment, support for virtual machine emulation, and application development without hardware.

SylixOS also offers two different distributions, tailored and optimized for industry features, such as satellites and rockets.

At present, SylixOS is widely used in industrial automation, defense, aerospace, electric power, rail transit, etc. Since 2006, many projects or products have been developed based on SylixOS, most of which require 7×24 hours of continuous operation. Many SylixOS system nodes have been running uninterrupted for more than 70,000 hours (eight years).
